We struggled to book somewhere just for a Saturday night, as most places wanted 2 nights at weekends,so we were pleased that the staff at Felbrigg Lodge were able to accomodate us. We had a very luxurious room, and although we hadn't booked for an evening meal in advance as advised, we were able to eat in the restaurant there, as our plans changed as the weather was so bad. We had a very enjoyable meal there which we thought was quite good value for money. A swim in the pool there was also an added bonus!

It was so plush, four poster bed, scrummy food, so quiet we live near the dartford tunnel!! Sky tv was to die for I have never had it or seen it and I loved it, we can't afford it and I am not allowed it, I only want it fot my football but my hubby says no. If he gave up booze but that's another story anyway it was lovely we had a great time thank you.
I have no complaints, my only suggestion would be if you could possibly put a few more choices on the menu, maybe 5 instead of 3. We were shocked to only have a choice of 3 mains and this hadn't been made clear, maybe we should have seen the menu on arrival as we weren't enthralled by any of the choices and at £30 a head one wants to enjoy what we are eating. We both ate what we settled for rather than what we would die for. The food was delicious don't get me wrong but we were disappointed at the little choice and were embarrassed to get up and walk out after we had been given the menu and had a drink, it would have been rude. The set up should have been made clear. I had chicken and mushroom cream sauce although I don't like mushrooms much.

Our stay at Felbrigg gave us exactly what we wanted - complete peace & quiet and the ability to unwind. If you want a starchy modern hotel with impersonal service this is not for you. If you want a hotel with great character & charm combined with the ability to escape from the rest of the world this is perfect. The staff were there if you needed them but left you in peace if you didn't. We will be returning to Felbrigg in the very near future and may even take our twin boys next time!!!!!!!!!

This hotel is in a very quiet rural setting. The hotel is unusual in having guest rooms in small individual buildings spead around the extensive well maintained gardens. Our room was clean, beautifully decorated & furnished & very comfortable. Breakfast was extreamly good & probably the best I have ever experienced in a hotel!

This is not a complaint, however, I did feel for the class of the place the reception was very Heath Robinson, untidy, not a good impression, concidering the rest of the establishment is superb.

The peace & quiet! The enormous Lodges were like houses did not want to leave! We were upgraded to the Honeymoon suite was even more spectacular!! Sunken bath, gold taps, log burner - heaven. Dining lodge was being decorated so had to go off site for dinner but was put together for breakfast which was amazing.(owners plus his family worked all day & most of night to get the lodge ready for breakfast fantastic family). Expensive but worth it - hoping to afford to go again for out aniversary in May!!!!

Beautiful, secluded location and convenient for access to both Cromer (a 10 minute drive) and Felbrigg Hall. The rear entrance to the extensive National Trust estate and delightful house was 5 minutes walk away.
Room cold on arrival and on return at 4.15 pm from day out. There was a wood burning stove and box of matches nearby but we were given no fuel or instructions on how to use the stove and this on a weekend when temperatures dipped close to freezing after nightfall!

great experience but a few areas to enhance
The Bramble Suite provided a cozy retreat, complete with splendid decor that felt both cute and elegant. Phil and DeeDee were really good hosts.
While my experience overall was fantastic, the breakfast options could benefit from a broader variety.

Excellent staff attitudes and approach to their guests
Food was - I would say - just adequate. For example, no cheese offered as alternative to puddings. Lacked a bit of excitement.

Honestly no reason to complain. Excellent food, good service and lovely view of a beautiful lake. Generous breakfast with a wide range of choice. Exceptionally comfortable bed, impeccably clean and huge room. Really accommodating, pleasant staff towards all guests. Great pool, parking nearby. Not to mention free wifi!

The feeling of being out in the middle of nowhere with staff available if needed but otherwise left alone in peace.
The decor of the room we stayed in could do with a little freshing up at some point but it in no way effected the pleasure of our stay.

The setting was beautiful, quiet, 'away from it all'. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was very well presented and tasted delicious. The swimming pool was wonderfully warm and a nice place to relax.
I would have liked to have had fresh clean towels each day, particually as we had to use them when we went swimming and it was difficult to get them dry.

Loved the pool area at felbrigg lodge, especially when we hired it out privately. The hot tub was fantastic too. Our walnut suite had fine views and was quirky and clean. Breakfast was amazing, with everything freshly prepared and delicious. The staff were friendly.

The Walnut Suite was a cozy spot with quirky decor and clean amenities. We had lovely views of the gardens. The bed was comfy, perfect for a good night's sleep. The overall vibe was peaceful and relaxed, which I really appreciated. It felt personalized and not standard hotel-like. The only thing I wanted was a bit more privacy in the hot tub area.
